Doris has 8 years of experience as an independent management consultant, with a wide range of clients across multiple sectors largely within Tanzania. Key clients included Kilimanjaro Airports Development Company, Arusha Urban Water & Sewerage Association and the Tanzanian Association of Tour Operators.
The primary focus of her consulting work was on assisting private enterprises in need of expanding, diversifying and modernizing their operational and investment activities, through investment appraisals targeted at analyzing project operational and financial viability, with a view to attracting debt financing from commercial and development banks. In so doing, her focus was on medium and large-scale enterprises, with good institutional track records and a capacity for optimal utilization of funds.
She has also engaged in consultancy tasks within the scope of business intelligence and research, investment policy development, cost benefit analysis for investment decisions, organizational development, and strategic planning especially within the aviation industry. Her work, in its entirety, spans various commercial and social sectors including tourism, hospitality, education, agro-industry, transport, utilities, manufacturing, and commodity trade in both the public and private sectors. Prior to that, she worked first as a volunteer, and later as an administrator, academic programmes in a training institution whose core mandate was to leverage education to prepare community leaders to drive change through affiliation, achievement and power motive.
Doris holds an MBA in Finance from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), Kenya and Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from Mbarara University of Science and Technology, Uganda.
