Kawothar started her career at Standard Chartered Bank Uganda Limited as an Accounts Services Officer. She performed customer due diligence to ensure accurate information capturing and appropriate risk profiling ratings of all new and existing customers to abide by the AML, Anti-Bribery and Corruption regulations, as per the Group and Central Bank's regulations.
She later joined Deloitte & Touche as an Audit Associate and later Senior Audit Associate. In this role, she performed and oversaw the delivery of professional audit services to various clients in the financial services industry, Not-For-Profit organisations, manufacturing companies and service providers. She also has vast experience in project audits, specifically accountability of utilized funds disbursed to Implementing Partners, used for sustainability development.
Kawothar is passionate about organizational transformation through financial and investment analysis, change in management strategy as well as technology innovation in order to design business transformation models that align the organization more closely with the overall business strategy and vision. She is also invested in sustainability development and the improvement of services for all people to enjoy peace and prosperity. In line with her passion, she voluntarily performed extensive research on education improvement strategies, the existing systems and ideal standards to complement the education services sector at Deloitte.
Kawothar holds a BSc in Financial Mathematics from Uganda Martyrs University, Nkozi and is pursuing CFA Level II.
